**JD EXACT EMERGE FERT TUBE
500 TT009
John Deere ExactEmerge Planter Totally Tubular field tested 3 ExactEmerge planters with our fertilizer tubes running different rates of fertilizer, at different rates of speed. Each test was successful in the following ways: 1. Fertilizer was successfully placed in the trench, below the seed. 2. Fertilizer was not building up on the brush system, nor brought back into the seed delivery system. 3. Fertilizer was successfully placed at various rates of speed, with various rates of fertilizer. Recommendations: 1. Check valves should be run with these fertilizer tubes; close to the tube, in the fertilizer line. 2. Try not to let the planter sit in the ground too long where a pool of fertilizer can form and possibly get onto the brush seed delivery system. 3. Inspect row units for build-up in the brush system when you fill your planter. Installation Instructions: These Instructions need to be followed very closely. Please read thoroughly!!! 1. Remove gauge wheels and disc blades. Remove all shims on right side. 2. Remove nut holding on the disc guard. 3. Slide ExactEmerge Fertilizer tube over disc bolt as shown. This bracket takes the place of two (2) shims. It is the exact width of two (2) shims. 4. Slide bracket on the top of the tube over the disc guard bolt as shown. 5. Tighten the disc guard nut back into place. 6. Align the tube so it is in the center of the seed tube guard and pinch the tab tightly around the guard with a channel lock. (We find a channel lock works the best.) 7. Replace all but two (2) of the shims next to the bracket. 8. The 6mm plastic line is optional. It is provided for additional pressure out of the bottom of the tube. This tube can be inserted up the bottom of the tube, leaving 1/4" sticking out of the bottom. Please inspect daily. Please note : This line may or may not need to be used. In some very dry conditions, this line may melt due to friction; if this happens, remove the plastic 6mm line.

**SPLIT FERT ASSY
500 TT300
TT300 Nitrogen and/or Liquid Fertilizer Tube Part #TT-300 This tube applies any liquid fertilizer solution beside the seed trench behind the closing wheels. It is shown here on a John Deere planter with a spiked wheel closing disc. It is fully adjustable by the end user as far as the distance from the seed trench. Fertilizer hose may be added to end of the tube to get closer to the soil if the producer so wishes. The tubes and all of the hardware are stainless steel. A 3/8" Y fitting is included. To attach to your row unit you will need to drill a ¼" hole in the back of your row unit. Attach to the row unit as shown above. Make sure to leave slack in your hose around the Y splitter; do not fasten hose down tight to the row unit as this area of the row unit will move alot down the field. A loop is suggested in the hose around the Y splitter to prevent hosing from pulling apart in that area. TO ATTACH THE BRACKET TO A WHITE 6000 OR 8000 SERIES PLANTER IT MUST BE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN. THIS TUBE WILL NOT FIT ON A 9000 SERIES WHITE PLANTER, OR ANY CASE PLANTER. DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THIS TO YOUR PLANTER. USE THREAD LUBRICANT TO ASSIST IN TIGHTENING SCREWS.

However if you do opt for two tubes behind each closing wheel, Totally Tubular does sell a 3/8" poly Y-splitter to assist in getting fertilizer to each side. TT-300/Case Mounting Instructions: Bracket can be mounted on left or right side of packing wheels, however tube must be on inside of bracket, not the outside, due to possible damage from cornstalks. The large hole in the bracket goes around the bolt on packing wheel arm. The small hole is for the nut and 5/8" bolt provided which is bolted to the existing hole in the packing wheel arm. Mount tube with ¼ inch stainless steel bolts. Adjust the tube according to the angle preferred, tighten bolts. The zip ties provided are for the small three holes on the top of the bracket to assist in holding the hose going to the tube.

Reinstall disc openers. The 6mm tubing is provided for producers who may experience plugging issues due to applying a lower rate of fertilizer. Push this tubing up the bottom side of the fertilizer tube, leaving approximately 1/4" sticking out the bottom. (You may need to cut the plastic tubing off after pushing it up as far as you can.) This will create back-pressue at the bottom of the tube. Due to the variances in Kinze planters, two sizes of bolts have been provided. 1" and 7/8"; use the bolt that best fits your planter. Kinze fertilizer tubes were not meant to be used on planters that are planting deeper than 2 inches. Producers planting deeper than 2 inches may experience rubbing issues on areas of the tube.
